from Abel Point Marina Airlie Beach Ron of Argyll is a beautiful classic gaff rigged topsail ketch steeped in History and Romance.
The yacht was commissioned by Colonel Charles Spencer and built in Scotland of Teak and Mahogany in 1928. During the early days, King George V was a regular crew member on sailing trips along the coast of Scotland.
Over the years Ron of Argyll has had many guests, however possibly the most famous was Marilyn Monroe, during the time spent in Antigua...... |
